Spray Tan Preparation Guide


To ensure you get the best, longest-lasting tan from your spray tanning session, please follow

the steps below:

24-48 Hours Before Your Appointment:

​

  • Hair removal (shaving, waxing, epilating) should be done at least 24 hours before your tan to avoid irritation and give pores time to close.

  • Exfoliate your entire body to remove dead skin cells. Use an exfoliating mitt.

  • Moisturise well focusing on dry areas like hands, elbows, knees, ankles, and heels.

 

On the Day of  Your Appointment

​

  • Shower and lightly exfoliate if needed - but do not apply oils, moisturisers, deodorant, perfume, or makeup. These create a barrier and may affect your tan's development.

  • Wear loose, dark clothing, dark underwear and flip-flops or loose shoes to your appointment. Tight clothes can rub off the tan while it’s developing.

  • Remove all jewellery and makeup before your session.

 

Aftercare Tips (Post-Tan)

​

  • Avoid exercise, showering, sweating, or getting wet for at least 8–10 hours (or as advised depending on your tan type).

  • When you do shower, use lukewarm water and avoid soaps with sulphates. The initial guide colour will wash off this is normal.

  • Pat yourself dry, do not rub as this will remove your tan.

  • Moisturise daily to prolong your tan and ensure even fading.

  • Avoid exfoliating, swimming , long hot baths, or using products with AHAs or oils, as these can strip your tan.
